Commercial Broker · Dubai

Cross-border transaction
structuring for commodities
and capital goods.

We design and execute complex trade and settlement structures across the GCC, Southeast Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa — where conventional banking channels are insufficient and execution depends on relationships, jurisdictional fluency, and structural creativity.

Track Record

Selected transactions

We work under non-disclosure on most mandates. The following references are anonymised at the level our counterparts have authorised.

Precious metals corridor · Russia → UAE

Approximately 50 gold transactions over six months

Structured and executed approximately 50 cross-border transactions involving the movement of more than five tonnes of gold from Russian refineries to UAE-based buyers over a six-month period. The mandate covered counterparty due diligence, multi-jurisdictional settlement, logistics, and compliance documentation.

Grain · Russia → Iraq

Tanker-class wheat shipment, 30,000 metric tonnes

Acted on the structuring and settlement side of a Black Sea origin wheat shipment to an Iraqi state-aligned buyer. Coordinated documentary, logistical, and payment architecture across three jurisdictions.

Energy & capital goods · Russia ↔ Vietnam

USD 400 million claim resolution mandate

Engaged at principal level on a claim resolution mandate between a major Russian industrial group and a Vietnamese state energy company. The transaction did not close due to the principal's strategic position, but the engagement reflects the access at which our practice operates. Concurrent direct working dialogue with PV Gas (Vietnam) and major Russian gas exporters on long-term cooperation frameworks.

Practice areas

What we do

Transaction structuring

Multi-jurisdictional sale-and-purchase architectures for physical commodities and capital goods, with particular focus on cases where direct banking is constrained. We build the legal, financial, and logistical structure of the deal end-to-end.

Settlement engineering

Multi-currency, multi-bank settlement chains designed around the operational realities of our clients' jurisdictions — including national-currency, dirham, yuan, and gold-backed structures.

Sovereign & quasi-sovereign mandates

Origination and execution of transactions involving state buyers, state sellers, and state-aligned counterparts. Particular depth in West and East Africa and Southeast Asia.

Commodities trade

Physical trade, brokerage, and structuring across precious metals, grain, fertilisers, oil products, and natural gas / LNG.

Special situations

Claim resolution, pre-closing restructuring, and cross-border dispute mediation where commercial logic still permits a transaction.
